Bookkeeping Pricing
Clear Pricing Starts With Understanding Your Books.
Every business’s books are different. At Logical Bookkeeping Solutions, we do not believe in one-size-fits-all packages or quick pricing guesses.
Your fee is based on the work required to keep your books clean, reconciled, reviewed, and organized—so you receive the right level of support without paying for services your business does not need.
Clear scope. Predictable pricing. No surprises.
How Pricing Works
Your fee should reflect the work your books actually require.
A business with clean records, a few connected accounts, and consistent monthly activity does not require the same level of support as a business with unreconciled accounts, multiple locations, complex reporting, or years of inconsistent bookkeeping.
Before providing a quote, we take time to understand your business, review the condition of your books, and identify the work required to maintain a reliable monthly close.
Once the scope is clear, you receive a written proposal outlining the services included and the applicable fee.
What Determines Your Fee
Several factors shape the scope of your bookkeeping.
Your quote may be influenced by:
Monthly Activity
The number and complexity of transactions that must be reviewed, categorized, and reconciled each month.
Accounts and Financial Activity
The number of bank accounts, credit cards, loans, merchant processors, and other balance sheet accounts requiring reconciliation or review.
Payroll and Sales Tax Activity
The level of bookkeeping coordination and reconciliation required for payroll, sales tax, and related liabilities.
Business Structure
Multiple locations, departments, classes, projects, entities, or owners can add complexity to the monthly close.
Reporting Needs
Standard monthly statements may be sufficient for some businesses, while others need additional schedules, departmental reporting, project tracking, or more frequent communication.
Systems and Integrations
The accounting platform and other systems used by the business—including payroll, payment processing, expense management, invoicing, or industry-specific applications—affect how information flows into the books.
Current Condition of the Books
Unreconciled accounts, inconsistent coding, missing information, duplicate activity, or prior-period errors may need to be addressed before dependable monthly bookkeeping can begin.
Level of Ongoing Support
Pricing also reflects how frequently you need reports, questions resolved, open items reviewed, and information coordinated with your CPA or other financial professionals.
Ongoing Monthly Services
One defined monthly fee for an agreed-upon scope.
Once we understand your business and confirm that the books are ready for ongoing service, we establish a monthly fee based on the agreed scope.
Your proposal will identify the bookkeeping responsibilities included, the monthly close process, expected reporting, communication procedures, and any information we will need from you.
The goal is straightforward: both sides should understand what is included before the engagement begins.
No hourly surprises. No unclear packages. No paying for services you do not need.
Getting the Books Ready
Cleanup work is evaluated and priced separately.
If your books are behind, incomplete, or unreliable, we may recommend cleanup or catch-up work before monthly bookkeeping begins.
Because every cleanup is different, these projects are quoted after reviewing the file and identifying the periods, accounts, and issues that need attention. You will receive a defined scope and project fee before the cleanup begins.
Once the books are current and reconciled, we can determine the appropriate monthly service going forward.

Pricing Questions
Why don’t you offer standard bookkeeping packages?
Transaction counts alone do not tell the whole story. Two businesses with similar revenue or activity can have very different account structures, reporting needs, systems, and existing bookkeeping issues. Reviewing the books first allows us to recommend a more accurate scope.
Is monthly bookkeeping billed hourly?
Ongoing bookkeeping is generally provided for a defined monthly fee based on the agreed scope. If the scope changes materially, we discuss the change with you before adjusting the service or fee.
Is cleanup included in the monthly fee?
Cleanup and catch-up work are normally treated as separate projects because they address problems that existed before ongoing monthly service begins. Any required cleanup will be identified and quoted separately.
Will I know the price before work begins?
Yes. You will receive a written proposal describing the recommended services and applicable fee before the engagement begins.
What happens if my business changes?
Your bookkeeping needs may change as the business grows, adds accounts, introduces new systems, or requires more detailed reporting. We can review the scope with you and make adjustments when necessary.
Let’s determine what your books actually need.
Whether your books are already in good condition or need cleanup before a reliable monthly process can begin, the first step is a clear conversation and an informed review.
We will help you understand the recommended scope, what it includes, and what it will cost—before you make a commitment.
No pressure. No generic package. Just a clear recommendation based on your books.
